They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and they’re not wrong.
Not only does eating a healthy breakfast keep you motivated to eat healthy throughout the day, but it also kick-starts your brain and metabolism for success. In this article we’re going to have a look at some of our favorite healthy breakfast options for individuals at home, and for cafes and restaurants to offer on their menu. Let's get started!
Non-Fat Sugar-Free Yogurt with Berries, Nuts and Seeds
We love our morning yogurt! Yogurt is great for your gut and your digestive tract, which all impacts your skin, hair, metabolism and brain. Plain yogurt can seem a little boring to some of us, that’s why we love to add in blueberries, coconut, pomegranate seeds, walnuts, dates / honey, sliced apples, and hemp seed. Choose any variety or combination for your morning breakfast. And be sure to get in all those antioxidants, vitamins and minerals at the very start of your day for a clear head and an energized body!
Crunching Into Granola
Yum, there’s nothing like a solid crunchy granola in the morning. You could add your granola to yogurt, or you can have it straight with your favorite milk (milk alternatives are highly welcome!) Granola has loads of health benefits from weight loss to disease prevention. We love to eat our granola with sliced almonds, pumpkin seeds, and a hint of cinnamon for an added boost.
It’s hard to turn down a bowl of granola in the morning, especially if you’re used to eating cereal and looking for a healthy breakfast alternative. Not to mention how quick and easy the prep time is!
Changing Up Your Morning Fruit
Not all of us wake up with such an immense appetite in the morning. Especially if we’re drinking coffee first thing. That’s why we recommend trying out different fruit in the morning for that boost of morning vitamins.
We’d recommend alternating between mangos, papaya, kiwis, oranges, apples and bananas. You can even go for a fruit bowl if you’re feeling inspired and want a variety of vitamins for a real morning treat.
There’s nothing quite like a morning smoothie. Smoothies are easy to prepare (though there is cleaning that blender afterwards, which is never the funnest activity of the day!) We love to throw in a bunch of our favorite ingredients into that blend.
Our family at CNS CONFECTIONERY Products starts off the day with a blend of frozen acai, frozen blueberries and frozen mango, blended together over coconut milk, and we always make sure to add in our favorite coconut variety, nuts and seeds.
